    About the Opportunity

    DMI (Digital Management, LLC.) is looking for a Senior Director - Consulting (Automotive) to support


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Work collaboratively and engage with customers to implement complex solutions that meet our client’s business objectives.  The Senior Director will act as the Subject Matter Expert in all areas of IOT and Connected Car for our Automotive vertical

    Act as the architect and executor of company’s Automotive Sector strategy to become the dominant player in the commercial sector and significantly grow company’s presence in IT services industry. You will also oversee development of the company’s Automotive Sector strategy to develop and maintain the needed infrastructure to support both its current and future operations. You will provide the oversight needed to ensure implementation of the company’s strategies in a way that meets company’s short and long-term thought leadership, market positioning, revenue and profit goals.

    The Senior Director will be instrumental in consulting and positioning the company as a thought leader in the IoT and Analytics technology landscape and in many verticals, especially the automotive sector. Bring strong domain experience and will help building the blue prints of connected world charter of the company. Provide direct support for Vice Presidents from each of the verticals and or business units. You will have frequent contact with executive level representatives from customers, strategic business partners, industry associations, and the press.



    Accountabilities: This includes development of the strategic blueprint to ensure the organization has the needed strategies, tactical plans, support infrastructure and personnel to achieve its strategic thought leadership, market positioning, revenue and market growth goals. Included are the following responsibilities:

    • Develop a full grasp of the company’s strategic initiatives, solutions and services to facilitate understanding of the role of consulting, solutions and thought leadership in meeting global strategic goals.
    • Provide the necessary oversight to ensure that this overall strategic blueprint is translated into concrete tactical action plans.
    • Ensure that the ‘Consulting and Solutions’ Functions have the necessary support infrastructure (technology, systems, research, etc.) to support both current and planned business activities.
    • Ensure that the company engages in needed market research and market intelligence activities to identify and understand Customer needs and preferences in existing and new markets.
    • Create the needed Consulting & Solutions culture. Ensure that:
      • The company is using the appropriate mix of processes that match the needs and receptiveness of customers in varying market segments— large account, consumer, domestic, global, etc.
      • Needed cross-functional collaboration from Consulting & Solutions to exist between the Sales Functions, and with other applicable corporate functions— Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, etc.
      • The consulting and solutions team has and use the needed competencies, knowledge and skills to achieve both current sales targets and intended market growth. Develops and implements strategies to provide needed learning and development activities to fill any gaps in existing capabilities.
      • Compensation, incentive and performance management systems support use of desired behaviors.  
    • Monitor progress against targeted strategic and operational goals, and oversee development and implementation of needed corrective actions.
    • Identify strategic business partners and negotiate needed contracts with potential partners’ top-level executives.
    • Interact directly to commercial accounts that require interaction at top-levels
    • Act as one of the industry domain expert and spokesperson for effective representation of the company at a top-level executive capacity in dealings with a wide variety of external contacts.
    • Travel as well as executive level work hours are expected.


    Education and Years of Experience:  Bachelor's Degree and at least 15 years of experience


    Required Skills/Certifications: 

    1. The ideal candidate will have four-year college degree from an accredited institution along with a Master in Business Administration or equivalent
    2. Relevant experience within the Automotive Sector, Connected Car, Infotainment, or Embedded Systems
    3. Proven success, guiding the client in evaluating options and making recommendations using known best practices to address business needs
    4. Strong relationships within the Automotive Sector and Tier 1 Suppliers
    5. Thought leader within the IOT, Connected Car, Infotainment or Embedded Systems space.
    6. Consistently meets to exceed sales quota and has grown revenue quarter after quarter.
    7. Has experience mentoring, growing and building a team from inception
    8. Performance-driven with strong leadership skills
    9. Strong communication skills – visual, written & verbal
    10. Entrepreneurial, innovative and collaborative

    Desired Skills/Certifications: 


    The ideal candidate for the position will have 15 – 20 or more years of relevant experience with substantial experience at the senior executive leadership level in the IT services industry. He / she needs to have a proven record of accomplishment of running a consulting and solutions function in a growing / dynamic market(s). He / she must also have proven experience in operating as part of leadership team that places high emphasis on collaborative decision making, and fostering a high degree of coordination between functions. In addition, the person needs to have a record of accomplishment that demonstrates ability in the following competencies at the senior executive level:
