    About the Opportunity

    Want to work for one of the fastest growing international end-to-end mobile solution companies in the world? DMI (DMInc.com) is currently seeking a Lead UX Designer to join our CX Team in Barcelona.

     

    If you are a user-centric, curious and proactive Lead UX Designer interested in joining a multi-disciplined Customer Experience team that covers a diverse range of competencies like Business Design, Service Design, Visual Design and UX, we would really like to talk to you.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    The UX Lead works closely with clients and DMI software delivery teams to translate business requirements and user needs into a meaningful service concept and execution plan.

     

    The UX Lead knows how to navigate ambiguity and balance customer expectations with product requirements and project constraints. In addition to having a problem solving mindset, the UX Lead is often tasked to work with Service Designers to uncover user problems using Lean UX and Design Thinking methodologies.

     

    The UX Lead drives our customers success by collaborating with fellow designers, user researchers and program managers to express early service/product concepts through a variety of prototyping methods such as sketching, storyboarding, interactive prototypes, user scenarios and wireframes. The UX Lead is able to create test scenarios, validate assumptions, gather, decode and translate user feedback into intentional design decisions. 

     

    The successful UX Lead partners with clients, developers, product management, designers, and testers to chart a course between vision and reality, and to bring the product home. The UX Lead is the "face" of design to the client, and as such should be able to demonstrate thought leadership in addition to excellent communication and presentation skills. 

    Qualifications

    Required Skills/Certifications: 

    • 5+ years’ experience
    • Team & project leadership experience
    • Proven success using Lean UX and Design Thinking methodologies
    • Design and specify user interfaces, services, and multi-touchpoint experiences using participatory and iterative design techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of requirements discovery.
    • Ability to discover, understand, and communicate business requirement
    • Ability to mentor a team
    • Equally strategic and tactical in terms of ensuring the delivery of high-quality design
    • Ability to craft, structure, and execute professional level design workshops for designers and non-designers
    • Very knowledgeable of design patterns and how to apply them within a variety of contexts (vehicle, mobile, web, etc.)
    • In-depth knowledge and experience of user interface design with consumer applications, mobile devices, telecommunications, and automotive.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers, along with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research.
    • Advanced knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Adobe Suite, InVision, Principle, Framer, etc.
    • Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, etc)
    • Creative problem-solver with the ability to work from a blank slate and inspire others
    • Knowledge of technology and the impact on the feasibility of design solutions, including the capabilities and limitations of modern web, mobile, and wearable technologies
    • Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.

     

    Standout Qualities:

    • Advanced degree in Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field.
    • Mobile technology experience
    • Experience within retail, manufacturing, finance, automotive, healthcare, travel & hospitality industries
    • Understanding of agile development best practices
