as Associate Manager – QA.
This is a senior position, which involves leading a testing team and its activities in our strategic program
involving development of cutting-edge platforms that vastly improves productivity and security across
industry and application areas. You will lead in the definition of test strategy, help set up and maintain a worldclass
testing capability. The test team under your guidance will be responsible for end-to-end testing of
existing and upcoming features in the core platforms, having multiple concurrent projects. and their
implementations. The role will require strategizing and executing all aspects of testing, which includes but
not limited to functional, regression, performance, security, usability, accessibility, automation, continuous
integration and verification in agile development.
This role will require close collaboration with business and product owners, and program manager to define
or strategize testing against the business requirements, plan timelines and eventually ensure the quality of
deliveries. You will work and collaborate in a global delivery model with a cross-functional team of business
analysts, user-experience design, software architect(s), software developers, testers and thereby influencing
people, processes and technology.
This role also expects you to be responsible for all aspects of talent management – hiring, onboarding,
mentoring, performance assessment and career pathing of your team. You must have customer and business
acumen, and have a what-it-takes approach in making the program, product and the customers successful.
You will need to be a strong leader, who can communicate in crisp, concise and convincingly manner, with
the internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in ideation workshops during concept & define phases of the product and actively
contribute in analysis of business requirements
Responsible for setup of testing environment for product software
Responsible and accountable for end-to-end testing - right test methodology is followed, test
frameworks/tools are leveraged and test activities are executed, as per the defined process
Manage and motivate a talented team of testers in concurrent projects within the program
Responsible for providing test estimates, testing metrics and measurements during planning and
execution of the project
Ensure timely communication of testing issues and status, via meetings and reports to program
manager and other stakeholders
Proactively apply quality management principles, identify process improvement areas and take
corrective & preventive actions
9+ years of experience in software testing with 3+ years of experience in leading mobile
platform/app/ web testing, preferably in a product development organization
Worked with global customers with team members spread across multiple geographies
Knowledge and experience of working in Agile, Scrum
Ability to structure test plans based on business requirements and its priorities
Ability to work with changing priorities or blockers and provide alternative approaches in execution
Hands-on experience in various testing tools for functional, performance, security, automation etc.
Exposure to various test mgmt. tools for test case management, defect tracking and reporting.
Understanding of Configuration and Release Management tools and processes
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with great communication ability (verbal and written)
Have managed the time critical deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong people management skills, who can direct, manage and motivate the team
Professional commitment, detail orientated, high focus on quality, passion for learning new skills
Global delivery exposure and understanding of the onshore, offshore and hybrid projects
Have experience working in US or Europe geographies for extended period of time
Engineering Graduate/Post Graduate preferably in the field of computer science or related
disciplines from tier 1 or 2 institutions
Relevant certification in testing such as ISTQB or equivalent is desirable
